Boeing Ended up with 145 DreamLiner Deliveries in 2018

US aerospace giant Boeing wrapped up 2018 with just 2 shy of its projected deliveries for Dreamliners and end up totaled at 145. Comprising 10 787-8,120 787-9 and 15 787-10 were handed over to various operators across the world.The largest dreamliner among the family, 787-10 started contributing its role as Boeing delivered more number of these than 787-8 model this year. Among 145 deliveries Boeing reported, Two 787-9 dreamliners destined for Hainan Airlines seems to be contractually delivered as they are yet to fly to their new nest.

Though the deliveries were hit by RR-Trent1000 engines issues and other seat supplier delays, The offset in deliveries were recovered tremendously in last 3 months.Norwegian Air shuttle and Hainan Airlines received highest number of dreamliners in 2018 while China Southern,American,Qantas and Air Canada are next in the line. Many new operators added to the Dreamliner Operators club as Air tahiti nui, Air Tanzania, Biman Bangladesh, China Eastern, Shanghai Airlines, Eva Air, Juneyao Air are among them. United and Etihad airways received their largest dreamliner in 2018 by joining Singapore Airlines which has received eight 787-10 so far.

Boeing delivered 17 dreamliners in the month of December including the two dreamliners handed over contractually to Hainan Airlines.Most notable delivery happened for Royal Air Maroc when it has taken its first 787-9 in brand new livery. United and Etihad received two 787-10 dreamliners each while Singapore airlines received its 8th 787-10.

On the orders front, Boeing reported 109 net orders for 787 in 2018.American Airlines leading the tally with its selection of 47 dreamliners against Airbus wide bodies. Turkish Airlines joined the party later by order 25 787-9 dreamliners while India's Air Vistara and Hawaiian Airlines are the ones soon will be joining the Dreamliner club by receiving its ordered type. Australian flag carrier Qantas topped up its order by ordering 6 more dreamliners and United upped its order by ordering 13 more 787-9's.
